The Sweetest Christmas Table : Part 2.

The irony of my Christmas table sweet-fest is that I don’t have a particularly “sweet tooth”. I love a really good mince pie ( recipe to follow in another post ) or a very good Christmas cake. I’m not that bothered about the sweet stuff I would rather have a delicious cheeseboard. I was playing around with ideas for this years Christmas theme and following on from my kiddie friendly tree, I thought what would be more fun for a kid than a table filled with sweet stuff? Because let’s be honest no child is interested in the beautiful over priced crackers with matching paper napkins or the family heirloom linen tablecloth and pricey Christmas centerpiece
A table filled with sweets and toys, now that’s a kids idea of Christmas isn’t it ?

I was inspired by a blog post back in November, and thought it would be fun to introduce the dinosaurs and other toys to Christmas. Kewpie doll became the Christmas angel and the farm animals joined in the festivities too.
I had so much fun putting the table together, I felt like a kid again !
I hope you enjoy the pictures – with thanks as always to Vanessa Lewis
